The Bank2 Story

Bank2 is a subsidiary of the Chickasaw Banc Holding Company. The Holding Company and thus Bank2 are 100% owned by the Chickasaw Nation.

In January of 2000, the Chickasaw Nation, under the leadership of Governor Bill Anoatubby made the decision to get into the financial services industry. The tribe named a board of directors, all of whom are enrolled members of the Chickasaw Nation. The Tribe also allocated $5.3 million dollars as the initial capital investment into the banking organization.

In 2001, the board hired Ross A. Hill as the President and CEO. Following Mr. Hill joining the team, the board embarked upon an aggressive plan to start the bank. In June of 2001 the Holding Company signed a contract to acquire the First State Bank of Davidson. In July of 2001 the Holding Company signed a contract to acquire a branch location in Oklahoma City . In September of 2001 the Holding Company submitted the necessary applications to acquire the bank in Davidson and the branch in OKC.

On January 4, 2002 , we closed the transaction to acquire the bank in Davidson. A few days later we acquired the branch in Oklahoma City . Through a complex set of transactions and filings Bank2 was in business headquartered in Oklahoma City and with a branch in Davidson, Oklahoma . The bank has grown from $7.5 million on January 4, 2002 to approximately $85 million today.
